North London Clarinet Teachers
On this page you’ll find a range of different Clarinet Teachers covering the North London area.
All listings have the key information presented, such as; price, coverage area, contact information, travel information and qualifications. Where applicable, each teacher has provided their genre specialities, such as Jazz or Classical, which can help you find the best teacher for the style of music you wish to learn. Each profile has been written and completed by the music teacher themselves.
Please note that none of the teachers on this site have been independently verified by ourselves and we do not verify or ask for a CRB (or equivalent) check, or any proof of qualifications prior to the teachers appearing on this list.
Finding a Clarinet Teacher
When considering which Clarinet teacher is for you, think about which style of music you would like to pursue. Most teachers will have one or two styles that they specialise in above others. Our listings provide information about the genre specialities of each teacher on their profile, so you can better assess which teacher is right for the ambitions you have for your musical journey.
We recommend compiling a shortlist of 2-3 teachers which you may like to work with and giving each of them a call to see their availability, introducing yourself and setting up an initial trial lesson.

PDOT Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Prix de Virtuosite Premiere Prix, Geneva Conservatoire
I am a seasoned performer, performing solo, chamber and orchestral music in the U.K, Europe, Canada and South Africa. As well as teaching privately I teach at the Hall School, Hampstead. I am an experienced, patient and friendly teacher. Below are my teaching principles. For further information/biography/recordin
Please don’t hesitate to call me to discuss.
– I have been inspired from my own education, having studied with outstanding teachers in different countries, and through these experiences I have developed my teaching skills.
– It is very rewarding for me to use my skills with children in creative ways that will bring out each
child’s individual musical and technical potential.
-As an expressive player I try to share my experience of music with my students and hope to instil in my students a sense of the joy that I myself experience in music making.
– I consider myself to be a considerate and intuitive teacher and with this am able to identify and understand the musical/technical obstacles a child might have, and find ways of helping children of different potentials find their own personal connection to musical expression.
-Students achieve excellent results and many Distinctions in ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall exams.
-Students are encouraged to perform in concerts to inspire confidence.
I graduated from the university of Cape Town and was then awarded a prestigious Swiss Government Scholarship to study and the Geneva Conservatoire Switzerland, before continuing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect to pay for Music Tuition?
There are many factors that affect the price of one-to-one music lessons, such as qualifications, experience, and whether the teacher travels to you or teachers from home.
The Musicians’ Union recommends an hourly rate of £35 for music teaching, however, in our experience, this is normally higher in London and you can expect to pay anything from £40-60 per hour.
Most importantly, you should find the right teacher for you (or your child).
Are your teachers CRB checked?
We don’t verify that teachers on our database are CRB checked, but most music teachers who have worked in the UK school system, will be required to maintain a regular CRB, and will always list it on their profile.
What's the typical length of a lesson?
Lesson length is a common question we get asked.
The first thing we suggest taking into consideration is the age of the student, we find that younger beginners, can benefit from regular lessons of 30 – 45 Minutes each, as their attention span is less than the typical adult.
I'm a Teacher, how can I be listed on your site?
To be listed as a teacher on our site, please fill out the form, with all the relevant information completed. A few things we require, up to date pricing, locations, styles.
Do you have Teachers outside the North London area?
As we’re based in North London and we specialise in providing a local service, we are at this time only listing teachers within boroughs in North London, our Teachers list and service coverage will be expanded upon over time.
