North London Music Teachers
Finding a good music teacher is an important part of embarking on learning an instrument. Whether the teacher be for yourself, for a relative or for your child, finding the right person who can connect with the student as they teach is recommended.
Our Music Teacher pages are dedicated listings showing a range of music teachers in the North London area. All of the teachers appearing on our page are happy to have a conversation about how they teach and whether or not they are a good fit for you.
We only list Music Teachers that have provided all the key information you need to find the right one for you. All listed teachers provide accurate pricing, travel information, their location, their qualifications, contact details and a personal written profile telling you more about them.
We encourage you to make a shortlist of teachers who fit your requirements and give them all a call, or set one up via email. It’s important to get a feel for the individual who will do the teaching. You should let the teacher know your goals for your tuition, whether its to help your children achieve a grade or if there’s a single piece of music you’ve always dreamed of playing.
Please note that none of the teachers appearing on this website have been personally vetted or assessed by us and we do not carry out any CRB/DBS (or equivalent) checks prior to adding new teachers.
Please note that we are currently in the early stages of building our teachers list, during this period where we are starting from scratch, we’ll have less teachers available for you to choose from. If you know a teacher that should be on here, please contact us / pass our site on.

The Musicians’ Union recommends an hourly rate is £35 for music teaching, however, in our experience, this is normally higher in London and can be anything from £40 – 60.
Are your teachers CRB or DBS checked?
We don’t verify that teachers on our database are CRB or DBS checked, but most music teachers who have worked in the UK school system, will be required to maintain a regular CRB and will usually list it on their profile.
All teachers should be happy to share evidence of their CRB or DBS status with you in advance of any lessons with your child.
