North London Drum Teachers
On this page you’ll find a range of different Drum Teachers covering the North London area.
All listings have the key information presented, such as; price, coverage area, contact information, travel information and qualifications. Where applicable, each teacher has provided their genre specialities, such as Jazz or Classical, exam teaching, grades etc., which can help you find the best teacher for the style of music you wish to learn. Each profile has been written and completed by the music teacher themselves.
Please note that none of the teachers on this site have been independently verified by ourselves and we do not verify or ask for a CRB (or equivalent) check, or any proof of qualifications prior to the teachers appearing on this list.
Finding a Drum Teacher
When considering which Drum teacher is for you, think about which style of music you would like to pursue. Most teachers will have one or two styles that they specialise in above others. Our listings provide information about the genre specialities of each teacher on their profile, so you can better assess which teacher is right for the ambitions you have for your musical journey.
We recommend compiling a shortlist of 2-3 teachers which you may like to work with and giving each of them a call to see their availability, introducing yourself and setting up an initial trial lesson.

First Class Honours in Theology, Music & Worship, Distinction Rockschool Grade 8 Drums, Distinction Grade 5 Music Theory ABRSM, Distinction Grade 6 Piano Trinity Guildhall.
I am a creative, dedicated and passionate musician with a first-class honours degree in Music. Currently I am in demand as a session musician in London playing for signed artists and bands. I am proficient in my musicianship and have a desire to develop others in their knowledge and understanding of music. You will find me to be an enthusiastic, reliable, trustworthy and helpful teacher.
from the age of 15-18 I began to teach drums, piano and guitar lessons privately. I then went onto further study in music and achieved a first-class honours degree and was awarded an additional prize for the ‘Most Outstanding Recital of the Year’. Currently, I deliver pop and rock band workshops in primary schools and also teach private lessons on drums and piano/ keyboard.
Using my skills, enthusiasm and creativity I teach drums and keyboard in a fun yet professional manner at all levels. I tailor each lesson specific to the pupils desire. I am able to prepare students for examinations through boards such as Rockschool, Trinity Guildhall, ABRSM on either the drums or piano. Additionally, I am happy to teach on a more casual basis for those who would like to learn an instrument as a hobby or simply for fun! After taking lessons with me it is my hope that students develop their skills, techniques, self-worth and confidence!

I am a professional drummer and guitarist with over twenty years of private as well as peripatetic teaching in schools. As a teacher I focus on creating engaging and goal-oriented lessons and building strong relationships within the community I work in.
I really enjoy the dynamics of teaching and tailoring lessons to the individual needs of the student so that they are excited to play their instrument and come to the lesson with enthusiasm. I have experience in leading group projects, such as after school orchestras and school performances and I always invite parents to sit in on the lessons to create more engagement. As a musician I have played all over the world, from the UK to Mexico and beyond as well as on radio, TV and many festival performances (including Glastonbury, Boomtown and many other festivals in Europe). One of my biggest achievements has been training up 1000 drummers for the London Olympics opening ceremony in 2012.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect to pay for Music Tuition?
There are many factors that affect the price of one-to-one music lessons, such as qualifications, experience, and whether the teacher travels to you or teachers from home.
The Musicians’ Union recommends an hourly rate of £35 for music teaching, however, in our experience, this is normally higher in London and you can expect to pay anything from £40-60 per hour.
Most importantly, you should find the right teacher for you (or your child).
Are your teachers CRB checked?
We don’t verify that teachers on our database are CRB checked, but most music teachers who have worked in the UK school system, will be required to maintain a regular CRB, and will always list it on their profile.
What's the typical length of a lesson?
Lesson length is a common question we get asked.
The first thing we suggest taking into consideration is the age of the student, we find that younger beginners, can benefit from regular lessons of 30 – 45 Minutes each, as their attention span is less than the typical adult.
I'm a Teacher, how can I be listed on your site?
To be listed as a teacher on our site, please fill out the form, with all the relevant information completed. A few things we require, up to date pricing, locations, styles.
Do you have Teachers outside the North London area?
As we’re based in North London and we specialise in providing a local service, we are at this time only listing teachers within boroughs in North London, our Teachers list and service coverage will be expanded upon over time.
